Thank you. So i installed admin tools core and that has changed the permissions now i hope. I have also changed config to 444.I keep my file/folder permissions up to date with Admin Tools core. Really easy to do - just one click and done in a couple of seconds. Folders should be “755”, files “644” and configuration.php “444”. Your setup in respect of the latter is vulnerable.Thank you. Is there a quick way of doing this? so many folders and files
Also, your “session path” needs to be writable. Contact your web-host and get this sorted ASAP.
Secondly, and where you came in, your red Admin panel errors are almost certainly caused by the checks timing out. I get it occasionally when an update check fails. This also disables the update check until you re-enable it.
Go to System > Update Sites > Filter Options and select “disabled”. This might be revealing.
HTH
I have full permissions of session path, isnt it just added an .ini file?
I am still on 5.1.0 so it wont let me update, i think a while back it failed, anyway to try this again or apply the latest update?
