Why reconsider? In my situation, not being super fluent with Joomla, I reckon that it might be the same replicating the older layout that to start a new one, in terms of learning curve...but I might be wrong of curve.Nevertheless, I would advise you to reconsider the appearance and not repeat with the accuracy the outdated design from the Protostar (like boxed layout for example). Repeated this design will require more effort and not justified from the perspective of 2024.
